How to Create a Vision Board That Actually Works
How to Create a Vision Board That Actually Works
Vision boards are so much more than a Pinterest craft project. They’re a powerful tool to help you manifest your dreams and stay focused on your goals. Plus, making them is just fun! Let’s be real—when you get to cut out pictures of your dream life and put them on display, it feels like you're one step closer to actually living it.
1. Define Your Goals
Before you dive into the pictures, you’ve got to know exactly what you're aiming for. What do you want to achieve in the next year? Is it all about self-love and confidence, or do you want to crush it in school and start your own business? Get super clear on your intentions, and you’ll be surprised how much easier it is to create a vision that actually reflects your goals.
2. Gather Materials
You can either go old-school with a physical board or do a digital one using Canva (which is SO easy to use). I personally love going the DIY route with magazines and a corkboard for that vintage vibe. Either way, you’ll need scissors, glue, and your vision. Don’t forget the most important tool: your heart. (It sounds cheesy, but it works!)
3. Find Images and Words
This is the fun part! Cut out images that represent your goals. If you want to glow up, grab pics of skincare, workout goals, and healthy food. If you're manifesting a career, look for images of laptops, books, and things that inspire you. Don’t forget to add a few words or quotes that will remind you of your journey. “You are your only limit” is my absolute fav for this!
4. Arrange and Glue
Before you start gluing, take a moment to play around with the arrangement of your photos. This part is all about making sure your board feels balanced and inspiring to look at. Once everything feels right, go ahead and glue it all down! The best part is that this vision board will reflect your vibe, and you’ll be so excited to look at it every day.
5. Display It Where You Can See It
Once your board is ready, put it somewhere where you’ll see it every day—maybe by your bed, next to your desk, or even on your wall. You want this to be the first thing you look at in the morning and the last thing you see at night. Every time you glance at it, you’ll remember why you’re working so hard to manifest your goals!
